Ready, Elevate!
Let’s be real, the holidays are lovely but they can also be super stressful. Seriously. Don’t worry, I won’t go on a tangent of the long list of potentially stressful things that come to mind. I’ll just say that for most, it’ll likely include one or more of the following… what to get so and so, what to wear, judgy family member(s), travel, packing, eating, and so on.
On the surface level, any of the above-mentioned stressors are annoying and they suck. On another level, these same stressors are literally causing havoc in our bodies. Meanwhile, the usual go-to feel better items in these situations tend to either be the ol’ Imma stuff my feelings into all this comfort food or another glass (or bottle) of wine during dinner. No judgment.
Now I wouldn’t be mentioning any of this if I didn’t have a potential solution to offer you. Enter cannabis. Puff, puff, pass- and everyone is chillin’. Sorry, you just drifted to my happy place. And if you’re still closeted with your cannabis, then edibles are your friend.
A few things I should warn you about surrounding THC edibles if you’re new to them. Even if you’re an experienced smoker, edibles hit differently because they are metabolized differently than inhaling. So, everyone please start slow and low, meaning start with no more than 2.5 mg and wait 1 to 1.5 hours before you consume more. This will help you avoid an extremely rookie mistake that goes something like “I don’t feel shit, let me have a little more…” the whole time you’re couch-locked with giggles and munchies.
If you live in a state with progressive cannabis laws, you’re likely to have a dispensary close by that will have edibles available for you. It’s so amazing, edibles are actually available in sodas, hard candy, gummies, chocolate bars, mints, BBQ sauce, and probably anything else you can think of. Y’all, if you live in a state where you can walk into a dispensary, do yourself a favor, and go check one out. Trust me on that. The world of cannabis is expanding, and truth be told it’s only going to keep growing.
If you live in a state with cannabis prohibitions though, first let me apologize, I know how much that sucks! And also be sure to vote and advocate for cannabis decriminalization and legalization. It’s slow-moving, but it’ll happen. In the meantime, luckily we have other “legal” forms of cannabis such as Cannabinol (CBD), Cannabigerol (CBG), and Cannabinol (CDN).
Before you go running out for your holiday stress killer, let me share a few things to be on the lookout for. Always, always buy from reputable establishments who stand by the quality of their products and provide you, the consumer, with lab tests ensuring their products are free of pesticides and other ugly stuff.
With that in mind, let’s get to some of my favorite and discreet ways to elevate yourself from the holiday blues, there are so many! But to keep this relatively brief let me share a few PLAIN JANE products with you. We’ll start with the obvious, gummies. Truth be told I have CBD-infused gummies on a daily because they help me with anxiety. And if my anxiety is in check, my IBS is too! I live in Colorado, a notoriously cannabis-friendly state and have a CBD: THC 1:1 gummy that works great for me. But prior to having this new option, I lived in a cannabis archaic state (Texas) and CBD products helped tremendously.
Okay, so what does this mean for you? There are lots of quality products available in today’s market, but like anything else, buyers beware. Ensure that you are using quality products (with or without THC) by demanding a certificate of analysis. This is one of the reasons I’ve been purchasing CBD products from PLAIN JANE for the past few years, and they have not once disappointed me. We’re covering discrete ways to elevate, but if you place an order, try their flower too- it’s so good! I’ll share some of my favorite strains soon!
Here is a list of some of my favorite CBD products from PLAIN JANE, and I’ll also share some other discrete ways to medicate. (No worries, these are all Hemp-based products, aka legally able to ship to all states. I got you!)
Remember, I’m not here to promise that cannabis is a miracle cure, but I sure as hell am going to share the many wonderful qualities of it with you! It may or may not be right for you specifically, and that’s totally okay too. If you have questions though, ask them! I am here for you.
